Course overview
Digital Photography is an evening class taught at Edinburgh College’s Sighthill campus over 18 weeks.
The course teaches you how to get great results from your DSLR or mirrorless camera. Move off the auto settings and learn how to get great images every time.
You are taught how to use your camera, compose and capture images, use different shooting modes, and progress to complete manual creative control.
You will learn to capture images in the RAW file format, use Adobe Photoshop to do basic editing and learn how to optimise images to create a final print. The course works for both new and more advanced users of digital photography.

- Semi-automatic modes
- Manual exposure and the theory of the exposure triangle
- Print optimisation.

- One evening a week, Thursday, 6 PM - 8.30 PM
Entry requirements
- Interest in Photography.

- Lightroom evening class
- Creative Photoshop
- Beginners or Foundation Photography courses with the small portfolio you will create.
